HOUSTON (August 10, 2020) – Mustang Cat has made a substantial donation to sponsor the purchase of a new delivery truck for Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston’s (Interfaith Ministries) Meals on Wheels program. Interfaith Ministries operates the largest Meals on Wheels program in the state, serving five Southeast Texas counties and an average of 5,300 homebound seniors each day. The need for home‐delivered meals has increased due to the COVID‐19 pandemic.
“We have heard from our employees, how they have relied on Meals on Wheels for their loved ones in the past. Mustang Cat is pleased to partner with Interfaith Ministries, who provide not just nutritious meals but a friendly face to our at-risk home bound seniors. Giving back locally to serve basic human needs is what our community outreach mission is all about,” said Sam Tucker, Executive Vice President at Mustang Cat.
Mustang Cat has demonstrated its commitment to civic and social responsibility in the communities where their employees and customers live and work for more than 68 years. As its business has evolved and the needs of the communities it serves have changed over the years, the company’s commitment to partnering with local agencies to provide food, shelter, health, and security continues.
Meals on Wheels relies on paid and volunteer drivers to deliver nutritious meals to vulnerable seniors throughout the Greater Houston/Galveston region. The truck sponsored by Mustang Cat will feature a custom wrap recognizing the company for their generosity. For more information on Interfaith Ministries’ work, visit our website at www.imgh.org.
