IM Animeals on Wheels

A beloved pet is often the only companion to the homebound seniors served by our Meals on Wheels program. Over a decade ago, we founded the Animeals program to ensure that our seniors would not have to share their limited food and resources with their four-legged friends, or worse – give away their pets.

Animeals provides free pet food to over 1,000 dogs and cats of homebound seniors. Volunteers are always needed to make monthly deliveries of pet food, adopt a senior and their pets, host pet food drives, assist with inventorying donations and organizing the Animeals warehouse, pick up donations of pet food throughout the community and represent Animeals at special events.
