IM Houston’s Interfaith Network Builds Bridges of Understanding

Launched in May of 2025, the Interfaith Network, comprised of faith leaders and community representatives, began quarterly meetings. In August 2025, the group met at the Zoroastrian Association of Houston. Attendees learned about one of the world’s oldest living religions and visited the only Zoroastrian temple in the Western Hemisphere, home to an eternal flame where the faith’s highest rituals are performed.

The Interfaith Network brings together organizations to foster mutual understanding, education, and respect among diverse faith traditions. By amplifying faith-centered events, the Network deepens engagement across our community. Through support, sponsorship, and participation, members can strengthen solidarity and create a community rooted in compassion and collective impact.

The Network’s goals are to:

  • Create connections across faith and interfaith agencies across Greater Houston who have a mission of promoting faith-centered education and understanding.
  • Facilitate collaboration among network partners to align and amplify faith-centered events, creating new avenues for interfaith engagement.
  • Increase support for one another by promoting, sponsoring, and/or attending the events of other members of the Interfaith Network.
  • Launch the inaugural Festival of Faiths in coordination with the Ismaili Center Houston for Fall 2026.

Working together allows members to reach more people, strengthen events, and build friendships across traditions, celebrating holidays, sharing stories, and standing together in times of need.

Looking Ahead

The Network will hold gatherings hosted by community partners and featuring program updates, networking, and a highlight of the host faith tradition’s belief and worship space.
