What it is like to work here
More than a million meals a year go out of this building. Families arrive in Houston with what they can carry and leave our programs with a job. Thousands of volunteers come through the door. All of it rests on colleagues who do practical work carefully, and who look out for each other while they do it.
Our people come from every faith tradition in this city and from none. What we share is a belief that showing up for a neighbor is the point, and we measure that in meals delivered and families settled. You do not need to have worked in a nonprofit before. Several of our best colleagues had not.

No. We are an interfaith organization, not a religious employer, and our staff come from many traditions and from none. You are welcome here as you are.
A valid Texas driver’s license and insurance, plus a background check. Specific requirements vary by role and are listed on each posting.
Yes. Our Galveston County branch runs its own routes and office, and hires locally.
