Volunteer Houston Fair
April 13, 2019 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
The second week of April is National Volunteer Week, honoring the impact of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to transform communities across the nation. To wrap up this celebratory week, Volunteer Houston (VH) and the Houston Community Tool Bank are teaming up to host a Volunteer Fair on Saturday, April 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 3303 Main Street, Houston, Texas 77002.
The purpose of the Fair is to connect local nonprofits with potential volunteers. Agencies will be able to share their needs with the community, while volunteers can learn about the many opportunities to give back in our community. This is a free, family-friendly event that will feature a deejay, door prizes, fun activities, and even a food truck with bites for purchase.
Over thirty area nonprofits will participate, offering potential volunteers an array of causes and projects to adopt including agencies such as Houston SPCA, Rebuilding Together Houston, Houston Food Bank and Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston’s Meals on Wheels. Voter registration representatives will be present and VH will also host a Voter Registration table to encourage attendees to register during the Fair.
WHEN: Saturday, April 13, 2019, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
