HOUSTON (April 20, 2021) – Near the one-year anniversary of the death of George Floyd and the end of the trial of Derek Chauvin, Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston (Interfaith Ministries) remains committed to being a positive force for connection in our diverse city. It is incumbent on our community to advocate for a just society for all. We at Interfaith Ministries are steadfast in our commitment to furthering this goal through dialogue, collaboration, service and fostering respect for our neighbors.
One of the programs that arose from discussions with faith leaders in the wake of Mr. Floyd’s murder was our Vital Conversations series. This ongoing series, along with its accompanying resource guide, is meant to be a teaching tool in a continued dialogue about social justice and race relations. This series will resume in summer 2021.
