HOUSTON (January 12, 2021) – Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston (Interfaith Ministries) is expanding its IMpact through the launch of its newest program, Serve Houston. Serve Houston aims to unite diverse young adults with a passion for leadership and civic engagement in a service program that benefits both the participants – referred to as Ambassadors – and the Greater Houston community. Ambassadors will engage in service projects, undergo leadership development experiences, and inspire the next generation of servant leaders.
Through the successful completion of service projects in small teams Ambassadors are prepared to become aspiring servant leaders in any industry. Serve Houston highlights the importance of giving back to one’s community. Through participating in the Serve Houston program, Ambassadors will develop and gain the following skills, knowledge, and financial benefits:
- Flexible schedule
- Project management experience
- Nonprofit operations experience
- Servant leadership mindset
- Compassion for underserved populations
- Teamwork
- Resume building experiences
- Monthly compensation of approximately $600 for Ambassadors and $900 for Lead Ambassadors
- Education award upon successful completion of the program
Interfaith Ministries is seeking interested college students, students taking gap years, servant leaders and even post-college young adults to explore the eligibility requirements and application for both Ambassadors and Lead Ambassadors.
Applications are being accepted for Ambassadors through March 31, 2021. The program runs from May through November 2021. For more information regarding the Serve Houston program and to apply online, visit our website at https://www.imgh.org/servehouston/.
