Mukhtiar brings more than 30 years of nonprofit leadership experience, including her tenure as CEO of SERJobs, where she strengthened services and opportunities for underserved communities across Greater Houston.
“I know I speak for the entire IM family when I say we could not be more excited that Sheroo is starting,” said Henry Florsheim, board chair of IM Houston. “She’s the right person for the time, and we are all ready to rally around her leadership.”
“Today marks the start of an incredible journey with IM Houston,” Mukhtiar said. “I am inspired by the organization’s commitment to serving our community. Together, we will continue to make a profound difference through our work of bringing together diverse groups for dialogue, collaboration and service.”
Mukhtiar planned to connect with staff, the Board of Directors and community partners to advance IM Houston’s mission of serving people in need and fostering interfaith collaboration.
