HOUSTON (March 15, 2023) – Join Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Congregation Beth Israel, 5600 N. Braeswood, Houston, TX 77096, for the Art of Perception: An Evening with Amy Herman. The annual IMpower lecture brings renowned author Amy Herman to Houston to share her revolutionary seminar on visual intelligence. Combining her art history background and her legal expertise, Herman utilizes art to teach audiences critical observation skills that improve communication, reduce bias, and pave the way for more informed decision making.
“Amy Herman offers real insight to looking, listening, and hearing in ways that strengthen one’s ability to interact with diverse groups of people,” said Jodi Bernstein, Vice President for Interfaith Relations and Community Partnerships with Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston, “as an organization that fosters dialogue, service, and collaboration, Interfaith Ministries is delighted to bring Amy Herman’s important message to our community.”
Guests will experience Herman’s interactive seminar firsthand beginning at 7:00 PM. Herman has authored three books and will be signing copies at the conclusion of the evening. Sponsors will enjoy a private VIP reception before the formal program. “Herman will expand your perspective and change how you see the world,” said Cyndi Stewart, IMpower Steering Committee Co-Chair, “her work will equip you with a new lens to better observe the world around you.”
