For Wilbert Thomas, Meals on Wheels Greater Houston has been a game-changer. Once an active “workhorse” in his younger days, injuries to his knee and shoulders made it harder to prepare healthy meals. That first delivery made an impression.

“When the first meal came, I was hooked,” Wilbert shared. “The little lettuce, the pickles, the hamburger buns—okay, I’m sold.”

Wilbert appreciates the nutritious, portioned meals that help him stay on track with his diet. But beyond the food, he sees the program’s greater value. “If you’re not on Meals on Wheels, get it. And if you have questions, don’t be afraid to ask. How will you find out if you don’t ask?”
